Cover of an old pamphlet (Chap book) referring to the execution and survival of an Irishman man known only as Poor Dennis who was hung for robbery . Allegedly when hung, because he was so tall, his feet touched the ground and after being hung he was cut down and given to his friends who revived him. Later escaping to Baltimore USA, he settled down, married and brought up a family.
