PACIFIC OCEAN (May 3, 2017) Lance Cpl. Malik Vincent (right), a native of Houston, Lance Cpl. Mark Eagleton (middle), a native of Tulsa, Okla., and Cpl. Dylan Long (back), a native of Weisel, Ill., all assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), chop bacon in the galley of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 15th MEU are currently conducting a Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) off the coast of Southern California in preparation for the ARG’s deployment later this year.
