He filled a mission to theNorthern States in 1917-1919, laboringin the Minnesota Conference, and act-ed as conference president from , 1918, until his return in April, his return to Utah he presidedover the 6th quorum of Elders in theAlpine Stake, and later was presidentof the 13th quorum, Alpine Stake. Healso labored as a home missionary inthe Alpine Stake. In 1919 (Sept. 3)he married Rebecca Leota Taylor in. the Salt Lake Temple, which marriagehas been blessed with four children,viz: Vere T., Ruth Emma, Paul Kayand Don Arvin. He was ordained aHigh Priest and Bishop Jan. 14, 1928,by Patriarch Hyrum G. Smith and setapart to preside over the Lehi FifthWard, having been sustained in thatposition Aug. 7, 1927. On July 1,1928, he was chosen and sustained asfirst counselor in the Lehi Stake presi-dency, being set apart by Stephen A week later (July 8, 1928),he was released from his bishopric inthe Lehi Fifth Ward. Brother Peter-son is a farmer by avocation, is adirector and president of the Lehi Ir-rigation Company and takes a leadingpart in both ecclesiastical and secularaffairs.
