Albino Squirrels in South London

I have travelled near and far on the photographic trail of interesting and exotic animals, however, on a little jaunt to a local park in South Norwood to photograph Christmas robins in the snowfall, I had one of the most unanticipated and quite brilliant wildlife moments of my life. Not one, but two extremely rare albino squirrels. I spent about 5 minutes observing and photographing them foraging for food, and then left them in peace. I subsequently found out that it’s thought that there are no more than 50 in the UK at any one time due to the rarity of the genetic anomaly, and also the lack of camouflage resulting in high predation levels.
