Thefe and every other variety of forcepsemployed for this operation, ought to beas thin and flender in that part of them,which is inferted into the nofe as the na-ture of the difeafe will admit; for I muftagain obferve, that the ftraicnefs of the partin which we have to operate, is one of theprincipal difficulties we have to when the forceps are made of [well-tempered fteel, they need never be fo chickand bulky as they are commonly made.
