MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE, KENYA: The cheetahs honed in on the topi before making the kill. ACTION-PACKED images showed the epic moment a coalition of crafty cheetahs sent an antelope FLYING in a bid to escape. In the dramatic pictures, a team of 140-pound cheetahs singled out and circled an unfortunate 242-pound topi antelope as the ill-fated creature made a desperate attempt to escape. In one image, the flustered antelope was sent flying through the air after it tripped in an impressive display of acrobatics thanks to the speedy cheetah being hot on its heels. A final picture revealed the four cheetahs dragging the antelope to its knees before feasting on the huge carcass, leaving the predators with blood stained mouths. The images were taken at the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, by wildlife photographer Munish Palaniappan (44) from Chennai, India. Munish watched the impressive act of nature from 262-feet away and captured the shots on his Sony A7R mark-iii camera with Sony FE 400mm lens. Mediadrumimages/Munish Palaniappan
