View of a train from the famous Dartmouth Steam Railway taken from the river This heritage train line was originally opened in August 1864. Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company is a network that includes Dart Pleasure Craft Ltd which operates the Dartmouth passenger ferry as well as river and coastal cruise routes. The railway line runs for seven miles from Paignton to Kingswear along the coast and into the scenic Dart valley.
