First Lt. Matthew Hargreaves, 3rd Airlift Squadron pilot, completes pre-flight checks before a local training flight aboard a C-17 Globemaster III at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, Jan. 4, 2023. Aircrew from the 3rd AS train regularly to maintain optimal mission readiness to support global airlift. This local training mission enabled aircrew from the 9th AS to retrieve a C-5M Super Galaxy from Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts, where it was serviced in the isochronal dock.
