Rickmansworth, UK. 22nd April, 2024. The Thames Water Sewage Treatment Works at Maple Lodge in Rickmansworth where Thames Water have this month, been discharging sewage into the River Colne. Thames Water are reportedly seeking permission from water regulator Ofwat to increase customer bills by 40%. There are calls for Thames Water to be renationalised following their very poor record on sewage discharges and their parent company, Kemble Water, having defaulted on their debts.
