Sgt. Joseph Sanders executes the weapon assembly task immediately after completing the 12-mile ruck march during the SETAF-AF Best Warrior and Squad Competition on May 26, 2022 in Vicenza, Italy. The competition spans four physically and mentally demanding days where competitors are tested on a variety of tactical and technical skills as they vie to be named the best squad/ best warrior. Six squads and 38 individual Soldiers from nine units are competing to represent the Soldiers "South of the Alps".
