An Israeli army jeep targets protesters with smelling chemical water in the Palestinian West Bank village of Kafr Qaddum. One week before the end of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, violence erupted in the West Bank Palestinian village of Kafr Qaddum. In Kafr Qaddum, protests were held inside the village against the Israeli occupation, which is part of the reason why so many people are not given travel permits to Jerusalem. Israeli soldiers tried to ambush protesters inside the village by camouflaging themselves in rubbish piles, however they did not arrest anyone. Later on, an Israeli sniper stationed on the roof of a village home injured a 17-year-old boy. Israeli soldiers invaded the village, firing rubber-coated bullets, and later on spraying a smelling chemical water on homes inside the village. As a last resort, over 50 tear gas canisters were shot into the village causing a small brush fire. The last Friday of Ramadan is very important as it is the last chance for Palestinian Muslims to go and pray at the third holiest site in Islam, Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
