Ithas an extremely hard, tough and densely-warted shell, which not only indicatessuperior quality, but renders it one of thebest winter Barly Bush or Fatty Fan. BUSH, OB FATTY FAN.—Is earlier than any other variety; of dwarfhabit and very productive; grows in a bushform, and occupies less room on the groundthan any other sort; it is the variety thatis grown the most extensively for marketand shipping purposes. Summer Squashesshould always be used when young andtender, which can be determined by animpression of the nail. VEGBTABIiB MABBOW. — A variety producing large, oblong fruits, darkgreen at first, but becoming marbled withyellow and lighter green in stripes as theymature. OBAN6B MABBOW.—This is quite adistinct variety, very early, of runninghabit and of most delicate flavor and of anorange color. GOImDHTST CUSTABD. — The mammothstrain of the Golden Bush Squash, Fleshgolden yellow, very fine quality; unsur-passed in keeping qualities; excellent forpreserves, pies, etc. No garden is completewithout it.
