An estimated 2,000 revelers and swimmers gathered in Coney Island at the annual Polar Bear Club's New Year's Day plunge into the Atlantic Ocean on , 2013. Money raised at the event was used for Superstorm Sandy relief efforts. Group dressing in warm clothes after going into the frigid ocean.
