The Mud Maid sculpture at the Lost Gardens of Heligan Cornwall April 2021


Sleeping Mud Maid Her hands and face are a mixture of mud, cement and sand originally coated with yoghurt to set the lichens growing. The mud maids head is planted with Woodsedge and Montbretia and Ivy has been trained to clothe her. Brother and sister Sue and Pete Hill began their career in Heligan and have since worked nationally and locally.
