With such a summer climateas Vancouver is blessed, it wouldbe singular if out door sportswere not very popular with every-body. Tennis, lacrosse, hockey, base-ball, cricket and football are games,18. JWPEf the players of which have strong clubs of their own, and theBrockton Point Athletic Association grounds, probably themost complete and beautiful in the Province, can be dependedupon to have some very interesting athletic events going on allthrough the summer. The spacious grounds at Brockton Point, with a grandstand,speed track, lawn tennis courts and a superb area used by thelacrosse and cricket players, should not be missed by anyvisitor. The local Baseball Club is a member of the North-WesternLeague and their matches are held on grounds in CarrallStreet, leased from the municipality.
