Teyá (in Catalan and officially Teià) is a municipality in the Maresme region, province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, located on the slope of the Sierra de Marina that borders Masnou, Alella and Premiá de Dalt. The municipality of Teyá is located on both sides of the Teyá stream, in the center of a small valley, at the foot of the Sierra Litoral. It is separated from Premiá de Dalt by the small mounds of Salve Regina and Lledó. In its agricultural area, rainfed crops (cereals and vineyards) dominate over irrigated crops (potatoes, vegetables, flowers). After the phylloxera plagues, the original vineyard disappeared and was replaced by American vines. At the end of the 20th century, there were few farm fields left. The real estate offensive was urbanizing areas such as Molassa, Vallvellida, Vinya or Sant Berger.
