One battery in each battalionfired shrapnel only, and one-fourth of all the guns fired smoke shells. At7:30 the rear battalion of the 122nd Field Artillery ceased firing and ad-vanced to a position near La Dhuy Ferme. It was followed a half hourlater by the forward battalion which advanced also to La Dhuy Ferme andwent into position there. From these positions the regiments took up therolling barrage at 12:30, according to schedule, and continued it to and be-yond the days objective. The 124th Field Ar-tillery commenced tomove at 11:30, and bythe middle of the after-noon was ready to firefrom positions northeastof La Dhuy Ferme. ThaEleventh Fie
