MAYPORT, Fla. (March 24, 2017) – Retired Capt. John Meserve (left) and retired Cmdr. Henry Dronzeck (right) talk with Lt. Cmdr. Mark Stines, navigator aboard amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Meserve served as the executive officer of USS Iwo Jima (LPH-2) from 1984-1987 while Dronzeck served as the ship’s secretary and ship handler for Iwo Jima from 1963-1966.
