Gray langur monkey on the wall of the Royal Enclosure, Champaner, Gujurat, India


The gray langur (Hanuman langurs) is the most widely found of the Indian monkeys. This sub-species, with its black hand and feet is likely the southern plains gray langur (Semnopithecus dussumieri). They weigh 11 to 18 kg, depending on their sex. Several of them could be seen on the walls and the roofs of the Royal Enclosure and the Sahar Ki Masjib mosque, Champaner-Pavagdh Archaeological Park, Gujurat State, India.
