ANATOMY, TOOTH

Anatomic model of an human upper incisor. A tooth is composed of two parts: the crown (in white), external and covered by the enamel, and the root (in beige), implanted in the gum and covered by the cementum. The neck is the constricted part lying at the junction between the crown and the root. The upper incisor, located in the front of the jaw, cuts food. It is inserted in the gum by a single root.
