PACIFIC OCEAN (August 5th, 2018) Navy Diver 1st Class Collin Kelly, assigned to Undersea Rescue Command (URC), climbs down from the main compartment of URC’s pressurized rescue module (PRM) to dewater the PRM’s transfer skirt, after mating with the Chilean Submarine (CS) Simpson (SS 21) on the ocean floor during the submarine rescue exercise CHILEMAR VIII. CHILEMAR VIII is a bilateral exercise designed to demonstrate interoperability between the submarine rescue systems and Chilean submarines.
