St Mary Rotherhithe, London. Church rebuilt in 1714–15, to a design by John James. The tower was later, and finished in 1747 by Lancelot Dowbiggin, perhaps to his own design. Red brick with stone quoins and dressing; the steeple has a peristyle or ring of (Corinthian) columns with flaming urns above; leading to an octagonal obelisk-like spire.
