Mandatory credit Shaun Wylie (1913-2009), British mathematician and World War II codebreaker. In 1941 Wylie was recruited to Bletchley Park by Alan Turing to work with him on breaking the German Enigma code. In 1943 he transferred to the team working on the German teleprinter cipher machine known as 'Tunny'. After the war Wylie lectured in mathematics at Trinity Hall, Cmabridge, before joining GCHQ in 1958 as Chief Mathematician.
