Kangaroo Island sits in the wild Southern Ocean off the coast of South Australia and is home to many unique plant and animal species and interesting geological formations. Flinders Chase National Park comprises most of the western side of the island. 48% of the island was devastated by the 2020 bushfires. The image is looking down at the route a flying fox at Weirs Cove used to hoist lighthouse supplies from the jetty.
