View of the Falkirk Wheel turning with the boat lift almost having completed the 180 degree turn on a sunny autumn day

Editorial use only. No commercial use. The Falkirk Wheel having almost completed the turn with both canal boats in the two boat carriers on the 180 degrees rotation to lift/lower the vessels 25 metres. The semi circular visitor centre is to the right and boat piers for mooring are to the left. The lock exit to the Forth and Clyde Canal can just be seen to the left of the visitor centre building. The main purpose of the Falkirk Wheel is to connect up the Forth and Clyde Canal with the Union Canal avoiding the building of a series of individual locks
