Tlie grandfather ofour subject, who was a farmer in tlie above-namedState, lived there, and died at a good old Wise, who also followed .agricultural pur-suits, came to this State about 180(1, and with hisfamily located in the northeastern part of PlainTownship, this county. Tliere he purchased aquarter-section of land, which he develo|)ed, andlater erected a gristmill on Nimishillen Creek,and was one of the first to englige in that line ofwork in the county.
