Green river canyon, Utah, USA, ISS image. Image taken on 22nd January 2014 by astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS). This section of the Green river canyon is known as Bowknot Bend. The steep cliffs are up to 300 metres high and cast a shadow on the river below. At lower left is a contrail caused by a flying aircraft.
