Rat brain slices. Fingers holding sections of rat brain embedded in wax. This is done so that the brain can be cut into very thin slices using a microtome. These samples came from rats exposed to electromagnetic radiation from power lines and mobile phones. Examination of these samples will reveal if the radiation has caused tumours or other diseases. Photographed at the Cancer Research Centre, Ramazzini Foundation, Italy.
