La nature y a creusé de trèshautes arcades, comme autant de cavernes, inondées par les eaux quiont formé la Grande Cascade de Tivoli, et qui après avoir été resserréesentre des rochers, tombent avec fracas, et produisent une abondancedécume dun blancheur éblouissante, et toujours ondoyante entre degros cailloux. Cet effet naturel est si beau et si singulier que le specta-teur ne se lasse point de ladmirer : aussi y voit-on continuellement desartistes occupés à le dessiner et à le peindre. m. 9 ^^^
