The trials at Fairview Farm the past season was very large, and the descriptions of the following kinds may be relied upon. Prices quoted are by mail, postpaid, and if ordered by express or freight, 8 cents per pound may be deducted. Earliest in the "World—(See Engraving)—This variety has been selected with great care, and was named and intro- i duced by us, and has proved a wonderful success, for the rea- son it is the earliest, perfectly smooth Tomato grown. It has been thoroughly tested at the Fairview Farm by the side of over sixty other varieties, and always is perfectly smooth and free from rot, while many others so claimed are not. Qual- ity cannot be excelled. It is of a handsome deep rich, tinted red color, and always attractive in market. They are immense yielders when given proper care, and pronounced a perfect wonder by all who have either seen them growing at Fairview Farm, or have grown them in their own gardens. This Tomato should not be compared with some of the worthless varieties sent out and claimed to be the earliest in cultivation, fori have found from actual tests that these so-called earliest varieties are the roughest shape of any Tomato I have ever .grown.
