BEAUMAN, JOHN-CHRISTOPHER, esq. of Hyde Park, in the county ofWexford, b. 29th October, 1764, m, 2nd October, 1795, Jane, daughter of MathewForde, esq. of Seaforde, in Downshire, and has had issue, John. Mathew-Forde, captain in the 3rd Dragoon Guards. Elizabeth-Anne. Jane-Emily. Mr. Beauman succeeded his father, 13th December, 1802. He is a magistrate foithe county of Wexford, and was its high sheriff in 1821. GO2 BEAUMAN, OF HYDE PARK. The Baumans, originally of Bohemia,where they possessed considerable pro-perty, expatriated themselves in conse-quence of the persecutions to which, asLutherans, they had been exposed on theexpulsion of the Elector Palatine, andtook refuge in various parts of Germanyand Holland. Melchior Christopher Bauman, accom-panying General de Ginkell, to whom hewas nearly allied by marriage, into Ireland,settled in the county of Wexford, awwo 1691.*He married and had two sons, , his heir. Francis, who m. a sister of the Comtede Serans, and settled at Nantes, inBretagne. His descendants subse-quently possessed considerable es-tates there, but are now extinct inthe male elder son, John Bauman, esq. of the county ofWexford, wedded Margaret, daughter ofEdwary Barry, esq. of Rathrush, in thecounty of Carlow,
