In the northern part of the Slate they sorattimes remain until late April and early May. Delaware County, April 17, 18SS (William-on); Dekalb County, April 27, '89 (Snyder), April 29, '90 (H. W. McBride); Lake County, May, 1887 (Parker). A most unusual occurrence was the identiticalion of severjl birds of this species near Bloomington, Indiann, by the late Mr. C H. White-wln?ed Crossbill. in Monroe County, in February, 1883. Mr. J. W.
