Mozart at the age of seven in front of Empress Maria Theresa, 1763. (1906). Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) playing his violin in front of the Empress of Austria. The story is that when Mozart had finished, he jumped onto Maria Theresa's lap and gave her a kiss. Mozart's father Leopold and his sister stand by the piano looking on.
