The third endite (fig. 15) has five rather powerful distalbristles, of which the outer one is rather long, the four others being subequal and of moderatelength. The outer one has a large number of long, stiff secondary bristles situated close togetherand is finely pectinated distally. Of the rest the next to the outer one and the inner one haveshort, fine hairs, almost bare, and the two remaining ones, which are somewhat more powerfulthan the two former, are rather strongly pectinated distally. The proximal bristle on the outside ofthis process has short, fine hairs, almost bare, and is about half the Icngtli of the outside of thisprocess. The dorso-distal bristle on the coxale is not quite as long as the outer distal bristle. /r-—S^:nS.^- Fig. LIV. — C. (Siphonosira) spinijera n. sp., $. — 9.
