London, UK. 22 August 2015. Portrait of Shenxi Chi, a crew member of the Qingdao, a yacht sponsored by the Chinese city of that name. Shenxi Chi will compete in the first leg of the race from London to Rio de Janeiro. Of the 22 crew on board the Qingdao, 11 will take part in the whole 40,000 mile, 11 month race. The twelve yachts competing in the Clipper Round the World race are moored in St. Katherine's Dock, prior to the start of the race on 30 August, as final preparations are being made.
