The use of the word natale inconnexion with St Peters chair not improbably marksthe dedication of a church; and, at all events ata later period, the word seems sometimes used asequivalent simply to a festival, or perhaps a festivalmarking an origin or beginning—as, for example,Natale Calicis, of which something will be said here-after (p. 40). Easter could not appear in the Kalendarproperly so-called; but the document contains cyclesfor the calculation of Easter, and a list of the days onwhich it would fall from 312 to 412. Early Kalendars would be of much value
