Barnes, Everett, Wash.,manager of the traction and powerproperties of that city, has been ap-pointed manager of the Seattle Divisionof the Puget Sound Traction, Light &Power Company, to succeed A. Ia Kemp-ster. He will remove from Everett toSeattle and will make his headquartersir. the Electric Building at SeventhAvenue and Olive Street. Mr. Barnes is well known in utilitycircles. He has been associated withthe management of Stone & Webster. D. C. BARNES companies since 1905. During recentyears he has been manager at Everettof the Puget Sound International Rail-way & Power Company and the PacificNorthwest Traction Company in chargeof city railway, light and power opera-tions and of the Seattle-Everett inter-urban lines. He was born in Cambridge, Mass.,in 1880 and was graduated from Har-vard University in 1902 with the degreeof , and of in electrical engi-neering in 1904. Since his graduationhe has served with the Boston (Mass.)Elevated Railway, the Little Rock Rail-way & Electric Company, Little Rock,Ark.; the Birmingham Railway, Light& Power Company, Birmingham, Ala.;the Electric Light & Power Companyof Abington and Rockland, Mass.; theBrockton (Mass.) Edison Company; thePawtucket (R I.) Electric Company,and the Everett companies named pre-viously.
