Proboscis fully developed ; palpi upturned, the 2nd joint reaching about to vertex of head and moderately fringed with scales iu front, the 3rd short; frons smooth ; eyes large, round ; antennas of male typically ciliated ; thorax clothed with hair and hair-like scales mixed with some scales, the prothorax with small spreariing crest, the metathorax without distinct crest; tibire moderately fringed with hair; abdomen without crests. Fore wing rather narrow, the costa and inner margin subparallel, the apex rounded, the termen evenly curved and slightly crenulate; veins 3 and 5 from near angle of cell; (i from upper angle; 9 from 10 anastomosing with 8 to form the areole ; 11 from cell. Hind wing with veins 3, 4 from angle of cell: 5 obsolescent from middle of discocellulars ; 6, 7 from upper ai'gle ; 8 anastomosing with the cell near base only. Sect. I.
