Three hundred and sixty of the name of Prescottresponded; also many of Prescott ancestry, not name,—still others, no doubt,swelled the ranks of our army, who were not heard from. It is safe tocalculate that several hundred of the Prescott blood went in responseto their countrys call, and acted well their part in the nations conflict,as did their ancestors of Colonial days.
