XENOTRANSPLANT, DRAWING
Xenotransplants (or heterotransplants) are transplants where the donor and the receiver belong to different species (ex. the organ of an animal transplanted into a human). A current issue concerns donor-receiver compatibilty, and the possibility of \custom-building\ animals (cloning) with organs which would be perfectly suited to the human organism, thus avoiding problems of organ rejection.
