Looking SSW at the Cornwood Maidens, the tallest stones at the upper, N end of Stalldon stone row, Dartmoor, Devon, England, UK. The single row of tall, widely spaced stones runs in a slightly curving N-S line over Stalldown Barrow hill with the four tallest stones (a fifth stone has fallen to the N) on the crest at the N end. The tallest stone is high. On OS maps the row runs for 503m but around 119 stones have been identified over a distance of half a mile (859m).
