It has a heating surface of 709 sq. ft.,giving 1 sq. it. of superheating surface to about sq. ft. ofboiler heating surface. The cylinders are designed for the Walschaert valve gear andhave valve chambers set 6 in. outside of the center line of the cylinders, so as to place the valve motion in practically one ver-tical plane.
