Central Bristol England World Naked Bike Ride 4 June 2016. Cyclists from around the country met and set off from the Full Moon pub in Stokes Croft at noon on a ride through central Bristol to demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists to full roads, car culture, and oil dependency. This days gentle naked ride through the central shopping areas of Bristol happened to coincide with protests by the far right against refugees, a counter demonstration opposing them, the UKIP leader Nigel Farage speaking at a political rally and to top it all a counter-rally in support of refugees. All in central Bristol. The planned naked bike ride route was changed at the last minute to avoid areas of potential conflict, but the police commented the other protests hadn't attracted many and just sort of fissiled out. The bike ride attracted over a hundred cyclists and many more hundreds of spectators along its new route.
