Three icons of , and in the Icon Museum of , North Cyprus. is the principal monastic legislator of the East; to this day, nearly all monks and nuns of the Greek Church follow his rule. He died aged 49 in 378 worn out by austerities, hard work and disease. and Danionos(Damian) are the patron Saints of Doctors. Their Acts recount their skill in healing both men and were martyred at Cyrrhus (date unknown)
