JEJU ISLAND, Republic of Korea (March 25, 2017) Cmdr. Douglas Pegher, commanding officer of USS Stethem (DDG 63) takes a photo with a ROK child during an arrival ceremony at the Joint Civil-Military Complex on Jeju Island. This is the first visit by any Navy ship to the Jeju since the facility opened on Feb 26, 2016. Stethem is on patrol in the 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
