Elizabeth I being welcomed to Kenilworth Castle, 1570s, (c1990-2010) Reconstruction drawing showing the arrival of enilworth Castle in Warwickshire, home of her great friend Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester. Kenilworth Castle is located in Warwickshire, England, constructed from Norman through to Tudor times, the castle was the subject to the six-month-long Siege of Kenilworth in 1266, and formed a base for Lancastrian operations in the Wars of the Roses.
