The two men later pleaded guilty to stealing 14 beer kegs valued at £1,000. Each fined £100 with £60 costs. Norris and Dobson were named among the five suspects in the murder of Stephen Lawrence. The pair were both subsequently found guilty of Lawrence's murder. They were sentenced on 4 January 2012 to an equivalent of a life sentence for an adult, with minimum terms of 15 years and 2 months for Dobson and 14 years and 3 months for Norris.
