If foon after the Operation, hecomplains of a Sicknefs at the Stomach, a Pain in that Part of the Abdomennear the Bladder, tis not always a fign ofa dangerous Inflammation, but frequentlygoes off in half an Hour : To affift howeverin its removal, a Fomentation put into an Hogs. Operations ^Surgery, j j ^ Hogs Bladder, and applied pretty warm tothe Part in pain, will be of great fervice :If the Pain increafes, after two or threeHours, the Confequence is much to befeared -, and in this Cafe, Bleeding andemollient Clyfters by way of Fomentationto the Bowels, are immediately neceiTary. The firft good Symptom after the Ope-ration, is the Urine coming freely away^ aswe then know the Lips of the Bladder andproftate Gland are not much inflamed ; forthey often grow turgid, and fhut up theOrifice in fuch a manner, as not only to pre-vent the Iflue of the Water, but even theIntroduction of the Finger or female Cathe-ter, fo that fometimes we are forced to pafsa Catheter by the Penis.
