60163 Tornado Steam Locomotive "Cathedrals Express" under steam and at speed passing under a bridge at Reigate, Surrey. 60163 Tornado is a main-line steam locomotive built in Darlington, England. Completed in 2008, the Tornado was the first locomotive built in the UK since Evening Star; the last steam locomotive built by British Railways, in 1960. The Tornado was esigned to meet modern safety and certification standards and now runs on the UK rail network and on mainline connected heritage railways. The locomotive is named after the Panavia Tornado military jet, based at RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire
