Physician carrying out chlorine gas treatment, 1924. US physician Matthew A. Delaney (1874-1936) monitoring a chlorine gas treatment apparatus. Delaney is present in his role of personal physician to US President Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933). The chlorine gas is intended to treat Coolidge's cold. Coolidge is in an air-tight room into which small amounts of chlorine gas is being piped. Photographed by Harris and Ewing on 22 May 1924.
